Adding to a long line of consistent high-quality digital piano production, Kawai have created the CA 17. Building on the well respected CA 15 and adding new features to ensure a superb playing experience for all, the Kawai CA 17 sets new standards in the level of features that can be had at this price point.
The grand piano experience
At the heart of any authentic acoustic piano experience is the quality of the keyboard itself. The Kawai CA 17 has been fitted with the highly regarded RM3 Grand II keyboard action delivering accurate motion and mechanisms to perfectly mimic a grand piano playing experience. The keys have even been covered in a special 'ivory touch' layer so that you get the best feel right down to the touch.
Triple sensor detection
The Kawai CA 17 utilises a specially developed triple sensor system to realistically layer up notes without any drop-off. This works in perfect harmony with the 192 not polyphony sound engine to make sure you get the best of digital audio reproduction with an acoustic heartbeat.
The breathtaking voices within the Kawai CA 17 are all produced from the superb sound engine powered by Harmonic Imaging XL technology. At the touch of a button, you can call up SK-EX and EX concert grand pianos amongst other acoustic piano models and 11 other high quality sounds including electric pianos and drawbar or church organs, to strings, human choirs, and synth pads.
In order for you to put these excellent sounds to use, the CA 17 Digital Piano also has a plethora of built in songs to show off the incredibly impressive power of the sound engine and to improve your playing. Czerny, Beyer, and Burgmüller etudes are all present from the Alfred series of course books to help you develop as a player.
Completing the experience
Nothing has been overlooked in the production of this superb digital piano. The 3-pedal system has been weighted to give you the proper resistance that you would expect from a grand piano.
Finally, the connection availability of MIDI and USB means that the Kawai CA 17 can fit into any existing computer set-up. Use it to record on your favourite software or in conjunction with other tone-generators. At home, in the studio or any other venue, wherever you use the Kawai CA 17, you will be impressed with its majestic sound and elegant looks for years to come.
